I’m Rubin Statham, former ATP professional tennis player and New Zealand’s most capped Davis Cup representative with 33 ties and 28 singles victories for my country. Over 21 years on the professional tour, I strung thousands of rackets, for myself and for other players at every level. I knew exactly what I needed from a stringing machine and I could never find it. The machines on the market were either too bulky to travel with, too slow for tournament schedules, or lacked the precision that professional play demands. So I built one.
Pro Stringer was born from real frustration and real experience on the tour. The CybeX is the machine I always wanted but could never find. Before you buy
I have never strung a racquet. Can I really do this?
Yes. Most first-time owners string their first racquet the same evening after the 20-minute Learning Center videos. The machine holds tension for you; you only feed the string and clamp.
Which machine should I get, CybeX or Platinum 3.0?
Platinum 3.0 is our best seller: dial tension, no digital features, the same 0.1 lb accuracy. CybeX adds a 3.5" touchscreen, 17+ functions and WiFi upgrades. If you string for others or love tech, choose CybeX. Not sure? Take the 60-second quiz.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. The travel bag is carry-on approved. Pack the awl, pliers and string cutter in checked luggage.
What is ModuleX 2-, 4- and 6-point?
ModuleX is the mounting system. 2-point holds the racquet at head and throat; 4- and 6-point add side supports for more frame stability. It fits CybeX and Platinum 3.0 and you can upgrade later.
How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work?
String at home for up to 30 days from delivery. If it is not for you, request a return, ship it back in its packaging and we refund you. Faulty on arrival? Report it within 28 days for a replacement.
What does the warranty cover, and what is the Pro Stringer Extended Warranty?
1-year full warranty + limited lifetime warranty cover materials and workmanship on the machine, ModuleX, clamps and pliers. Drops and accidents are not included. The optional Pro Stringer Extended Warranty extends your term to 3 years (Care) or 4 years (Care+), and the Accidental Damage (ADH) add-on covers drops and accidents.
